Range Rover Autobiography is a model designation; LWB describes a body configuration. Before ordering, make sure the wheelbase, seating and engine on the quotation describe one available combination. A long list assembled from several Range Rover versions can promise equipment the ordered car does not have.
What the India selector shows
The official model selector separates standard wheelbase, long wheelbase and long wheelbase seven-seat body styles. Its Autobiography listings include a D350 diesel mild-hybrid selection in the relevant configuration. That establishes a manufacturer reference, not availability of a particular vehicle at a local retailer.
Keep one configuration reference
Save the configuration code and a dated copy of the selected options. Ask the retailer to identify model year, body style, seats, engine, paint, wheels and interior on the same order. Mark any item that is subject to availability rather than treating a showroom conversation as confirmation.
Evaluate the LWB for its intended passengers
For chauffeur-driven use, set the front seat for your driver before assessing the rear. Check the space available around the passenger’s feet, the reach to seat and climate controls and how easily passengers enter. If comparing different rear-seat packages, perform the same checks in each actual layout.
For family travel, load the normal bags with the required seats occupied. Check the garage approach and the space needed to open doors. Body length alone does not tell you whether the complete daily parking manoeuvre will work.
Clarify the commercial terms
- Identify whether the order is for stock or a future allocation.
- Separate factory options, dealer products and registration or insurance charges.
- Record the delivery estimate, change deadline and cancellation terms in writing.
- Before handover, match the delivered vehicle and equipment to the signed configuration.
