A starting price does not tell you what your chosen Kia Sorento will cost or include. Kia India’s trim page checked on 2 October 2026 lists HTE at ₹27,99,000 and HTE(O) at ₹29,49,000 as starting MSRP figures. Those figures are a dated reference, not a promise of today’s on-road price.
Identify the vehicle before comparing totals
Record the trim, fuel, transmission, seating layout and selected options at the top of each quotation. If one dealer is quoting a different configuration or production year, the price difference cannot be treated as a discount on the same car.
Build a clear cost sheet
| Line on the quote | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Vehicle price | Exact configuration and validity date |
| Registration and applicable charges | Itemised amount for your registration location |
| Insurance | Cover, exclusions, insured value and optional add-ons |
| Accessories and service packages | Whether requested, optional and separately priced |
| Booking and delivery | Refund terms, expected allocation and balance-payment timing |
A simple price-gap example
The difference between the two displayed starting figures is ₹1,50,000. That is only the vehicle-price gap. It is not automatically the final amount needed to move between two delivered cars, because the actual configuration and other charges can differ. Request both complete totals before deciding whether the additional equipment is worth the difference.
Judge value using the seats you will use
Visit with regular passengers, test access to each occupied row and check luggage space in that arrangement. If a row must fold to carry your normal bags, note that constraint before comparing a nominal seating count. Check the equipment on the quoted trim rather than assuming the display car represents it.
Keep this price assessment separate from claims about ride, reliability or fuel economy. CarsInformation has not conducted an ownership-cost test of this vehicle. A transparent quote and a practical cabin assessment give you a firmer purchase basis than an unsupported best-deal verdict.
